I’ve seen people bullied, fooled, tricked and shamed into doing things they don’t want to do on vacation only because they were afraid of getting the locals upset. Americans are the nicest and most polite travelers in the world and every country and their populace knows it. We donate more than anyone, tip out the most money, even if we receive poor service. There are people out there who try to take advantage of you, only because of your niceness and they can see clearly you are not a seasoned traveler. That does not sit very well with me and I never allow it to happen to me, my friends, my family or clients.
